The Planets Textured

Hey Folks

So here we have our planets all nicely modelled and textured ready to now go into a nice space background. The satellite will be animated in after effects with blinking lights and i'm going to also try and make the blue planet have a glowing effect going through it too.

Anyhoo enjoy the view and hopefully we will have a shot comped together very soon.

Textures yaaaay

Hey Folks

Today I have been creating more textures for my little happy planets. I have even tried to create my own textures but playing around with the filters and warping in photoshop just to see what they look like. Heres hoping that they come out looking cool eh folks :D, i've uploaded the textures for anyone if they would like to use them for anything else.

The 3D Planets

Hey Folks

Here is the other 3D planets that have been created for the film, we have a moon, a big mouthy planet, a smile, and a satellite :D. So it is now onto the textures for these planets then, taken into after effects and finally see if we can get a whole scene together oh yeah :D.

This is the shot where the smoke is flying through space, this has some foreshortening in it and was quite difficult to get right but i think ive done a god job of it.

So here is the first animation line test for one of the smoke scenes. i am taking care of all the little things first so that i can get back into the swing of things by animating smoke. This is the shot where the smoke comes flying into the planet.
